We are the heart behind Cuddles & Trails Pet Services.
At Cuddles & Trails, we believe pets are family — and when life pulls you away, they still deserve the same love, attention, and care you'd give them yourself. That’s where we come in.
We’re Kelly and Shawn, a husband-and-wife team based in beautiful Kamloops, BC. Together, we’ve poured our hearts into building Cuddles & Trails — a pet care business rooted in warmth, trust, and connection. With a shared love for animals, cozy living, and time spent outdoors, our goal is simple: to make every pet feel safe, loved, and right at home.
Kelly is the everyday magic-maker behind Cuddles & Trails. With years of experience working in healthcare, she brings a naturally nurturing presence to her work. Her lifelong passion for animals and attention to thoughtful details means no tail goes un-wagged and no whisker goes unnoticed. Whether it’s a slow walk for a senior pup or extra snuggles for a shy cat, Kelly intuitively understands what each pet needs to feel calm and cared for.
Shawn is the quiet hero you’ll often see stepping in for overnight stays or larger pet care visits. Built like a football player but soft-spoken and gentle, he’s the steady presence that animals instantly gravitate toward. Whether it's guiding a nervous dog through a new routine or offering calm energy during busy days, Shawn brings a grounded confidence that pets trust — and people appreciate.
When we’re not visiting your furry family members, you’ll likely find us exploring local trails, enjoying a campfire under the stars, or relaxing at home with our own cat, Pig,. He's our mischievous Sphynx (and official mascot), and his human siblings our kids Lachlan & Piper.
At Cuddles & Trails, we don’t just "watch pets" — we build relationships. We care for your animals as if they were our own, offering personalized services tailored to their unique personalities, needs, and quirks. Whether it’s a quick check-in or a full overnight stay, we’re here to provide comfort, reliability, and peace of mind.

Kelly & Shawn give us the peace of mind that I have not experienced in the last 8 years with sitters. Their honest and transparency is so on point. They are great with response time, and meet all expectations that are set prior to finalizing their service. Their services are also very fairly priced and it doesn’t feel like my pockets are burning to find adequate care for my pups. Honestly, I’d rather move my travel dates, and change my plans, so my priority is always that these are the guys taking care of my fur babies in my house. Kelly and Shawn’s business is raging and gaining popularity and that borderline scares me because they might get too busy to accommodate me. But long story short - we love them, our dogs love them, and most importantly I trust them fully.
